SUMMER APPLICATION PROCESS

During the summer, Texas A&M University offers students safe, convenient, and affordable housing in Aggieland. Please refer to our Getting Started page for helpful information before starting your online housing application, then follow the steps below.

If you have questions navigating through the portal or you believe there is an error, please contact us at 888.451.3896.

Step by Step Application

Step 1: Apply for Housing

To begin, log into myHousing Portal using your NetID and password, click on Housing Applications, and select the Summer 1, Summer 2, or Summer 1&2 term.

You will sign the contract, provide your housing preferences, and fill out a lifestyle questionnaire. We encourage you to take a look at all we have to offer.

Step 2: Receive Your Assignment

The Housing Assignments Office does room assignments on a first-come, first-serve basis. Therefore, you will be assigned in the order in which your application was completed. Please know that your preference does not guarantee your desired housing style will be available at the time you are issued a housing assignment. However, we will do our best to match your preferences throughout our process.

You will receive your assignment via email before the Summer terms start, typically the first week of May for anyone living on campus for Summer 1. Summer session 2 assignments will be emailed out in mid-June before the beginning of the semester. For students already living at White Creek Apartments for the Spring semester, our goal is to keep you in your same apartment for the summer sessions.

Step 3: Complete Annual Housing Orientation

What does it mean to live on campus? Well, it’s a lot more than having a place to sleep. It’s your home while you’re here. The place where you hang out with friends. Talk to your roommates. Study. Kick back. Relax. Store your stuff. Sleep. Eat. It’s your own space.

On-campus living has a lot of built-in resources and staff to support you during your time at Texas A&M. We are a dynamic community with our own standards and rules.

For that reason, we ask all students living in our on-campus communities to complete the Annual Housing Orientation. To do this, after you have confirmed your room reservation, the Annual Housing Orientation menu item will appear in myHousing Portal.

You will need to have completed this orientation in order to receive your key upon check-in. Check your Texas A&M email in mid to late May for specific instructions.

Step 4: Schedule Move-In Appointment

We are excited that you will be living on campus during the summer term at Texas A&M University – College Station! All on-campus residents must schedule a move-in appointment. This enables us to make sure everything is ready for your arrival. Choose a day and time for your arrival within myHousing Portal after you complete the Annual Housing Orientation.

Information about move-in, what to bring, what not to bring, rates, important dates, and parking maps are available on our Summer Move-In Information page. Don’t forget to check your Texas A&M email frequently so you don’t miss important emails – such as more detailed instructions for move-in based on your apartment or hall. If you have any questions before arriving on campus, please get in touch with the appropriate office. We will see you in Aggieland!
