Walton Hall

Walton Hall is a ramp-style residence hall located on the Northside of campus and offers single and double rooms with suite or semi-private bathrooms, assigned as single gender by suite. The hall features 162 rooms across four floors and provides a variety of amenities, including a community kitchen, TV lounge, water bottle refilling stations, multiple study rooms, and a courtyard with BBQ grills. Additional features include suite-style bathrooms and air-conditioning window units. Walton Hall’s Northside location places residents near the Northside Garage, Hullabaloo Starbucks, and Sbisa Dining Hall, offering both convenience and a welcoming residential environment.

Hall Namesake

Walton Hall is named after Dr. Thomas Otto Walton and was constructed in 1931. Dr. Walton was president of Texas A&M College for 17 years – the longest period for any president. During Dr. Walton’s tenure, the college grew from 2,084 students to over 6,500. Also during his administration, the University endowment was established and the college was recognized by the Association of American Universities.
