Lechner Hall
Lechner Hall is a modular-style residence hall located on the Northside of campus and offers double‑occupancy rooms with private bathrooms, assigned as single gender by room. Serving as an Honors residence hall, Lechner features 101 rooms across four floors and provides amenities such as multiple study rooms, individually controlled air conditioning, water bottle refilling stations, and a TV lounge. Its Northside location places residents near the Northside Garage, Hullabaloo Starbucks, and Sbisa Dining Hall, making Lechner Hall a convenient and academically focused living environment.

Hall Namesake
Lechner Hall is named after Walter W. Lechner ’16 and was constructed in 1989. Mr. Lechner, formerly of Dallas, Texas, died in 1979. Mr. Lechner was one of the principal discoverers of the north portion of the East Texas oil field during the 1920’s. The hall that bears his name houses participants in the University’s Honors Program.
