  • Senior Associate Director – The Senior Associate Director assists the Executive Director in the overall management of the Department of Residence Life. Manages the overall operations of the Residence Education staff living on campus managing the residential facilities (non-Corps of Cadets residence halls, apartments, and area community centers), the student leadership organizations, staff/student programs, conduct/emergency response, and hosting summer camps/conferences. Is involved in the major development of policies, procedures, programs and the supervision of approximately 300 full-time professional, associate, graduate and student staff working in the 25 residence halls, 13 apartments, and four area community centers, serving approximately 9,500 on-campus students. Develops the budget for and monitors financial performance of the Residence Education area. The position reports to the Executive Director of Residence Life and serves as the Executive Director in their absence.
  • Project Manager III – The Project Manager III reports to the Associate Director, supervises the Software Solutions Team and manages all aspects of technology based systems and enterprise level software solutions utilized by the Department of Residence Life.  The Project Manager III manages project activities including analyzing project needs, developing, and implementing projects and tracking budgets, timelines, and deliverables.  The Project Manager III provides recommendations, reports and evaluations for projects that are generally medium to large in scope.
  • Project Specialist III – The Project Specialist III, for Residence Life Housing Systems reports to the Associate Director of Residence Life and shares responsibility for the overall management of multiple enterprise level software solutions. The Project Specialist III, is responsible for working with department leadership to analyze and document the business and operational needs for the department, review potential IT solutions, then plan, develop and implement projects to meet the identified needs. The selected candidate will subscribe to and support our commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accountability (IDEA) as stated above. This position will liaise with the Division of Student Affairs IT, third party vendors and Department of Residence Life staff to ensure project success. Most work will be conducted in an office environment utilizing a computer. This is a 12 month, full-time position.
  • Resident Manager – The Resident Manager of Apartments (Student Development Specialist III) is responsible for being a 12 month, live-in, full-time professional staff member. As a live-in member of the University Apartments staff, the Resident Manager (SDS III) has primary responsibility for the administrative; student staff and graduate hiring, disciplinary process, staff training; summer operations in the University Apartments; counseling; conflict resolution; and conduct adjudication for the University Apartments. The Resident Manager serves in an on-call, 24 hour, duty rotation for all University Apartments. The Resident Managers serves as the primary advisor for Community Council.
  • Community Director – The Community Director is a live-in position responsible for administrative and supervisory tasks, developing student programming, providing student support and conflict resolution in the residence hall setting and multiple communities. This is an awesome leadership opportunity providing a meaningful impact on student success and development.   • Program Manager For Diversity & Inclusion – The Program Manager for Diversity & Inclusion coordinates and leads departmental efforts relating to diversity, inclusion, access and equity. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support student and staff training and development related to these areas. Coordinates departmental response to bias-related issues and support for students and staff impacted by bias-related issues, including those highlighted in the media. Provides leadership to living learning programs focused on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA). Also, participates in departmental, divisional, and university DEIA initiatives.
  • Coordinator of Leadership & Engagement – The Coordinator of Leadership & Engagement coordinates and manages the departmental efforts for engagement and learning through the leadership initiatives of National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) and the Residential Housing Association (RHA). Creating quality leadership development opportunities is an essential function of this role and may occur within these organizations or through other experiences. This is a direct student organizational advising role.

Residence Life offers many different types of positions with a wide variety of work hours to accommodate student schedules. Student employees can work up to 28 hours each week; 20 hours for international students.   The student employment application is open year round.  Hiring Supervisors will contact candidates as there is vacancy to be filled.

Student employee positions can be for the academic year, year round, or summer only based on the needs of the hiring office. The Department of Residence Life employs student employees year round, including times when classes are not in session and when the University is closed.  It is important to know that when applying for student worker positions in the Department of Residence Life, there will be hours that will need to be covered during spring break, semester/winter break, at the end of the semester in May, and before classes begin in August.  Some jobs require students to work over the summer.  General work times are outlined in each student worker position description.  Continued employment is not guaranteed if student is unable to work over summer.  Pay rates vary by position.
