Clements Hall

Clements Hall is a Modular style residence hall conveniently located on the northside of campus with 147 rooms on four floors. This residence hall is equipped with a community kitchen, study rooms, water bottle refilling stations, and a TV lounge. Residents in this hall (double rooms) will also have access to private bathrooms and a living learning program. Being on the northside of campus places Clements near the Northside Garage, the Hullabaloo Starbucks, and Sbisa dining hall.

Hall Namesake

Clements Hall is named after Rita Crocker Clements and was constructed in 1981. Ms. Clements was the wife of former Texas governor Bill Clements. Ms. Clements was a rancher’s daughter who was extremely interested in attending Texas A&M University; however, in 1949, A&M didn’t admit women. As Texas’s First Lady, Ms. Clements was a model of attainment for young women.
