Wells Hall
Wells Hall is a modular-style residence hall located on the Southside of campus and offers double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms, assigned as single gender by room. The hall features 120 rooms across four floors and provides residents with amenities such as a TV lounge, water bottle refilling stations, and a study room. Wells Hall is also home to a living-learning program that supports academic and community engagement. Its Southside location places residents near the Southside Parking Garage, The Commons Dining Hall, and the new Southside Recreation Center, offering both convenience and a strong residential experience.

Hall Namesake
Wells Hall is named after Clyde H. Wells ’38 and was constructed in 1989. Mr. Wells died in 1987. Mr. Wells was a rancher. He served as a member of the Texas A&M System Board of Regents for nearly 25 years including 12 years as Chair of the Board. In 1967, Mr. Wells was named “Man of the Year in Texas Agriculture” by the Texas County Agricultural Agents Association. He was active in land development and banking.
