Walton Hall is named after Dr. Thomas Otto Walton and was constructed in 1931. Dr. Walton was president of Texas A&M College for 17 years – the longest period for any president. During Dr. Walton’s tenure, the college grew from 2,084 students to over 6,500. Also during his administration, the University endowment was established and the college was recognized by the Association of American Universities.
  • 2019: Exterior building restoration. Installation of new heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system on D Ramp to condition rooms and stairwells.
  • 2015: Renovated laundry and TV/Study lounge and student room for ADA Accessibility, Renovated all interior finishes in Ramps A-E.
  • 2014: Renovated all interior finishes in Ramps F-K.
  • 2023: Central heating ventilation, and air conditioning system install in all rooms (removal of all window air conditioning units from all rooms). We installed new beds. The Walton Hall HVAC project provided centralized HVAC throughout the complex.
