Underwood Hall
Underwood Hall is an all-female, modular-style residence hall located on the Southside of campus and offers double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms. The hall features 152 rooms across four floors and includes individually controlled air conditioning for resident comfort. Conveniently situated near the Southside Parking Garage, The Commons Dining Hall, and the new Southside Recreation Center, Underwood Hall provides easy access to key campus amenities. Residents also enjoy access to a community kitchen, TV lounge, water bottle refilling stations, and multiple study rooms, creating a comfortable and supportive living environment.

Hall Namesake
Underwood Hall is named after Ammon Underwood ’07 and was constructed in 1981. Mr. Underwood received his degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Underwood donated $1 million of real estate to the University. Eventually, the University received the rest of his estate. Mr. Underwood worked with British East Africa Ltd., the Federal Land Bank and the Farm Credit Administration during his career.
