Schumacher hall is a Balcony style residence hall with single, double, or apartment room style options. The hall has a total of 84 rooms on four floors, equipped with suite style bathrooms. Additional features include study rooms, TV lounges, and a community kitchen for residents. Schumacher is located on the northside of campus, putting residents near the Northside garage, the Hullabaloo Starbucks, and Sbisa dining hall. Recent renovations include new solid surface sinks, countertops, mirrors, and window blinds.

Schuhmacher Hall is named after Henry C. Schuhmacher of Houston, Texas, and was constructed in 1964.
Mr. Schuhmacher is head of a wholesale grocery business bearing his name. He became a member of the Board of Director of Texas A&M University in 1925 and died in 2002.
Mr. Schuhmacher also served a member of the Board Committees on Auditing and Finances and as a member of the executive committee.

2019: New solid surface sinks and countertops, mirrors and window blinds in student rooms.

2014: Renovated student rental apartment.

2023: Replaced the doors

2024: Conducted a pilot project aimed at exploring the feasibility of upgrading the balcony style bathrooms in the upcoming summers.
