The Department of Residence Life Gardens Apartments provides daily or monthly rental of guest apartments as described for faculty, staff and students.
Guest apartments are fully furnished including kitchen appliances, dishes, TV, washer/dryer, bed linens, towels, dining and cookware. Bathrooms are cleaned once a week.
Reservations are done on a first-come-first-served basis with a completed guest apartment reservation request on file and based on apartment availability.
Guest Eligibility: A guest is an individual affiliated with Texas A&M University, who is sponsored by a Department, Office, Program, Center, or other entity of Texas A&M and has provided written verification of sponsorship prior to occupancy.
Payment: The guest or sponsoring department is responsible for rent. Who is responsible for paying the rent is determined at the time of the reservation. If the guest does not pay rent, the sponsoring department will be charged. Rent is due at time of occupancy and must be paid in full for the duration of the stay. If occupancy is extended beyond the originally agreed upon term, then the additional rental charges are due at the time the extension is granted. Money Orders or Cashier's Checks are to be made payable to: TAMU Fiscal Department and include the name of the guest and sponsoring department. Guest may pay rent in the Gardens Apartments Office. Sponsoring Departments will be billed through an IDT.
Damages found after check out will be billed to the sponsor.
Both the Texas A&M Sponsor and guest will be required to sign a guest contract and will be expected to follow all TAMU Guest Apartment Rules and Polices.
Identification: The sponsored guest will need to provide a picture ID (Driver’s License, Visa, passport, etc.). S/he will be required to sign a guest contract and attend a safety orientation with a staff member at check-in time.
Parking: Parking permits are required per Transportation Services regulations. Guests or sponsors will need to make parking arrangements with Transportation Services prior to the arrival of the guest.
Cancellation Policy: The sponsor must notify the Gardens Apartments Office staff at least 72 hours in advance of the first day of the reservation to cancel the reservation. If less than 72 hours is provided, the sponsor will be billed the daily rate ($70) for one night. If the reservation is not used and not cancelled, the sponsoring department will be charged the daily rate ($70) for each night until the Gardens Apartments Office staff is notified that the guest is not coming.
Lost Key Cost: The guest or sponsoring department will be billed $150.00 for each lost key.
