  • Faculty/Staff/Post Doc apartment reservations are honored on a first-come first-served basis after application information is verified.   • Contracts

    Once the information is received, a Gardens Apartments staff member will make contact with the faculty/staff member or post doc within three (3) business days. If an apartment is available, the staff or faculty member or post doc will be sent a contract to sign and return within three (3) business days. The contract is legally binding from the time it is signed. Month-to-month contracts renew each month unless the resident does not pay rent. 12-month contracts run from August 1 to July 31. First month’s rent is due at move in. Staff and faculty members are expected to abide by the rules out lined in the contract. If damage or excessive mess is found at move out, the staff or faculty member will be billed for the cost of repair or replacement and/or cleaning charges.
  • Eligibility

    Only Texas A&M University employees or Texas A&M University employees and their approved cohabiters may reside in University Apartments. The faculty or staff member’s name and UIN must appear in Workday to prove they are employed by Texas A&M University-College Station. To be approved to rent an apartment, employee residents must hold a full-time (not student worker) staff, faculty, or Post-Doctorate position at Texas A&M University as defined by Texas A&M University Human Resources. In addition, the employee resident must be an adult (18 years of age or older), and be able to provide written verification of employment prior to occupancy. Approved employee residents are allowed to have live with them as outlined in this contract.
  • Identification

    The staff or faculty member will be required to show a picture ID (TAMU ID, driver’s license, passport) when checking in.
  • Lost Keys

    Staff or faculty members who lose a key are expected to report the loss to the office as soon as the key is lost. The charge to rekey the apartment is $150.00.
  • Parking

    Parking permits are required to park on campus. Parking permits can be purchased though Transportation Services. Staff and faculty members staying at the Gardens are encouraged to get a parking pass for their office area and then park on W/X row, which is an any valid permit area.
  • Payment

    First month’s rent is due at move in. Subsequent rent payments are due between the first and seventh days of each month in the Gardens Apartments Office. The Gardens Apartment Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Rates

    There are two bedroom/one bath furnished apartments available for staff and faculty members. Each apartment has a stove and refrigerator; living room, kitchen, and bedroom furniture. Rent includes all utilities (electricity, hot and cold water, garbage, sewer, basic cable and Ethernet-wireless & wired) and access to the amenities listed above.   • Safety Orientation

    The staff or faculty member will be required to take an apartment orientation prior to moving in.
