GEOSCIENCES LIVING LEARNING COMMUNITY
About the Community
The Geosciences Living Learning Community (GEO LLC) welcomes freshman undergraduate students, with a preference given to College of Geoscience majors, who wish to excel academically by sharing knowledge and building a strong support network, all while participating in fun and engaging activities and events. The purpose of the Geo LLC is to facilitate the academic pursuits and social success of students participating in the Geo LLC by creating a tight-knit community.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in the Geosciences Living Learning Community, students must:
- Be a freshman undergraduate student
- Preference given to majors in the College of Geosciences (ENGS, ENST, GEOG, GEOL, GEOP, GIST, METL, METR, OCNG)
- Be in good academic and conduct standing
- Apply for on campus housing and preference the Geo LLC

Roommates
During a specific period of time, students selected for this program will be able to choose a roommate(s) from other students selected for the same Living Learning Community. Students may post profiles within myHousing Portal and view responses by other students to their roommate questionnaire (i.e., sleep schedule, noise, cleanliness, etc.). Following this specific time period, students will be assigned a room with their requested roommate within the block of rooms designated for the Living Learning Community.
