Aggie ACHIEVE LLC

About the Community

Are you passionate about promoting inclusion at Texas A&M University? Looking for a group that welcomes all individuals? The Aggie ACHIEVE Living Learning Community (LLC) is open to all Texas A&M students who are interested in living in White Creek Apartments on-campus through the Department of Residence Life and are interested in getting involved with Aggie ACHIEVE and promoting inclusion. The Aggie ACHIEVE LLC is part of a larger program called Aggie ACHIEVE. Aggie ACHIEVE at Texas A&M University is a four-year postsecondary program for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who have exited high school. Aggie ACHIEVE students live on campus, enroll in inclusive coursework, and participate in internships. Participants in the LLC could share one of the apartment suites with our Aggie ACHIEVE students as roommates in White Creek apartments but are not expected to provide any additional support than any other roommate. Suites are four-bedroom, two-bathroom style with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Each person will have their own room and share a bathroom with one other person.

In addition to promoting inclusion, participants within the Aggie ACHIEVE LLC will have the opportunity to participate in social events, such as movie nights, community dinners, intramural sports, campus traditions, volunteer opportunities, and more. Students will have the opportunity to decide what social activities are planned. Through the Aggie ACHIEVE LLC, you will build strong and lasting friendships by various opportunities to participate in social activities and volunteering.
