STAND Up Workshop
Mar 31 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

STAND Up is designed to teach students how to have positive and helpful conversations with individuals who have been involved in a traumatic event. The training provides information about:

  • Sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking
  • Social perspectives on trauma
  • The impacts of trauma on the brain
  • Listening techniques
  • Tools for mandated reporters
  • Campus and community resources

Registration and training is free! You can register online at https://studentlife.tamu.edu/standup/registration/. Lunch will be provided!

Do you think that your student organization could benefit from knowing more about the information covered in STAND Up? STAND Up offers 3-hour trainings for student groups upon request. Green Dot Bystander Training for Students

Green Dot teaches Aggies:

  • How to identify potential acts of violence around them
  • How to use the power of peer influence to intervene appropriately and safely in high-risk situations
  • How to recognize situations that lead to violence and common barriers that prevent people from taking actions
  • How to respond in ways that are consistent with their personality and values

Lunch will be provided.

Could your student organization benefit from knowing more about Green Dot Bystander Intervention? Green Dot offers 3.5-hour trainings or 60-minute overviews for student groups upon request. We will send a facilitator to your organization to conduct a training or overview. Learn more or request a presentation.

The 12th Can is an on-campus, student-run food pantry that serves all students, faculty and staff of Texas A&M in need of assistance. Since we opened our doors in November 2013, we have served over 3,500 Aggies with over 90,000 pounds of food!

How does SWIPE OUT HUNGER work?
If you are in need of food assistance you might qualify for free meal trades! You can qualify for these meal trades even if you have not purchased a meal plan. Contact student assistance services 979.845.3113 to see if you qualify.

How can you help?
Students with extra meal trades can donate up to 4 meals to those in need! Stop by Sbisa or the Commons dining halls starting April 22nd from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Swipe Out Hunger table to do so.
