Join the Department of Residence Life for the inaugural Trex Plastic Film Challenge. Help us collect 500 pounds of plastic film in 6 months to raise waste awareness and win a free bench! The challenge will take place from now until the end of April and anyone at Texas A&M can use the bins. Any kind of plastic film (Ziploc bags, grocery bags, package wrap, etc.) can be recycled as long as it is dry and free of food residue.

Drop-Off Locations:

  • Hullabaloo Hall 24 Hour Desk
  • The Commons 24 Hour Desk
  • White Creek Activity Center
  • Gardens Apartments Activity Center
  • General Services Complex Lobby

Use #AggiesGoingGreen on social media to show us how much you’re recycling and be sure to follow Residence Life Sustainability on Facebook at Aggies Going Green.

More information regarding what the challenge is, what plastic films can be recycled, and maps of the locations can be found on the Residence Life Sustainability page under the What You Can Do header. Any questions, comments, or concerns can be emailed to sustainability@housing.tamu.edu.
