University Apartments Maintenance Crew is routinely providing preventative maintenance to help in the effort to conserve energy. Below are some items they have provided to assist in this effort:
Gas testing
Lowered water heaters to 120° F
Installed 2.5 gallon per minute shower heads
Flushed water heaters for better efficiency
Fixed leaks on water lines at College Avenue Apartments
Lowered boiler temperatures in College to 120° F
Replace Moen cartridges in showers and kitchen faucets to prevent crossover
Promptly replace sensors on outside lights
Installed new more efficient A/C units in Hensel Apartments as needed
Tested all wall heaters in Hensel for leaks
Replaced all stove to stoves without pilot lights
Residents can help also by reporting water leaks, leaky faucets and running toilets as soon as possible.
