University Apartments Maintenance Crew is routinely providing preventative maintenance to help in the effort to conserve energy. Below are some items they have provided to assist in this effort:

  • Gas testing
  • Lowered water heaters to 120° F
  • Installed 2.5 gallon per minute shower heads
  • Flushed water heaters for better efficiency
  • Fixed leaks on water lines at College Avenue Apartments
  • Lowered boiler temperatures in College to 120° F
  • Replace Moen cartridges in showers and kitchen faucets to prevent crossover
  • Promptly replace sensors on outside lights
  • Installed new more efficient A/C units in Hensel Apartments as needed
  • Tested all wall heaters in Hensel for leaks
  • Replaced all stove to stoves without pilot lights

Residents can help also by reporting water leaks, leaky faucets and running toilets as soon as possible.
