Parking
UNIVERSITY APARTMENTS
Parking All vehicles parked at the University Apartments are required to have a valid parking permit. One University Apartments parking permit is included in the rent for each lease signer. Lease signers will need to request the permit through the Transportation Services website, but will not be charged for the cost. If a resident who is not a lease signer is interested in getting a permit, they may purchase one from Transportation Services. The Department of Residence Life is not responsible for the regulation of on campus parking. Vehicles (including moving vans or trucks) are not allowed on the sidewalk or lawn areas, and all vehicles must be operational. Vehicles which appear to be abandoned or not operational will be towed at the owner's expense. Parking registration is a personal obligation. Parking permits are the property of Texas A&M University and are issued to a specific individual. Ownership is not transferable. By obtaining a parking permit, the permit holder agrees to become familiar with the rules and regulations and abide by the regulations. For more information go to: http://transport.tamu.edu/parking. Moving vans, trucks and cars are ONLY allowed in the parking lot areas and on the streets. University Apartments Parking Map Motorcycle/Bicycle Parking Motorcycle and bicycle parking is restricted to available motorcycle lots and bicycle racks located throughout the apartment complex. They should not be left in walkways, breezeways, porches or sidewalks because these areas are designated as fire escapes. Blocking these fire escapes is a violation of Texas law. Bicycles can be stored inside an apartment, but motorcycles, mopeds, etc. can never be brought inside an apartment. Transportation Services requires motorcycles to have a valid University parking permit to be parked on campus, including at the University Apartments. Visitor parking Student Residents (lease signers) may have up to 10 free visitor permits per year. After the 10 free visitor permits are used, the resident will be required to pay for each visitor permit. The visitor’s parking pass must be displayed in the front windshield of the vehicle. Visitor parking passes can be purchased at http://transport.tamu.edu/parking/visitor.aspx |
