Due to the potential of fire and/or overloading the power in the residence halls, the following items are not permitted:

  • air conditioning units (window or room units)
  • candles
  • ceiling fans
  • electric skillets
  • extension cords, multiple plug adapters, power strips without circuit breakers (see examples on the right)
  • George Foreman Grill
  • halogen lamps
  • hot oil popcorn poppers
  • power tools
  • space heaters
  • toasters or toaster ovens
