Honors Housing

Honors Program LogoStudents are the heart of the honors community at Texas A&M University. The honors residence halls, Clements and Lechner, contribute to and enhance the honors experience. Both honors halls are modular style, coed residences housing men and women on separate floors. Lechner Hall, with space for 206 residents, is designed to be a freshman living experience. Students move to other residence halls after their first year. Clements Hall is open to honors students of all classifications and has space for 232 residents.

Academic scholarship recipients with scores of 1250 SAT or 28 ACT, and top 10% class rank, are eligible to request assignment to Lechner Freshman Honors Hall. The Office of Honors Programs and Academic Scholarships makes assignments to the hall, however, all students who want on-campus housing must complete the housing application process through the Housing Assignments Office.

Incoming freshmen may request assignment to Clements Hall if they earned scores of 1250 SAT or 28 ACT, and top 10% class rank. Current students with at least a 3.5 grade point ratio and completed honors coursework are eligible to request assignment to Clements Hall during the on-campus housing renewal period.
