Neeley Hall is named after M.J. Neeley and was constructed in 1980. Mr Neeley graduated from Texas A&M University in 1922 in textile engineering. He built his wealth from the ground up starting in the transportation industry and expanding into the financing field. Mr. Neeley was a firm believer in A&M students' developing their oral and written communication skills and gave a lot of his time to be a mentor to students.
