Haas Hall is named after Richard E. "Dick" Haas and was constructed in 1979. Mr. Haas is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is well known not only because of his business success, but because of his enthusiastic and generous support of Texas A&M University. Mr. Haas is a member of the Class of '47. He is a leading independent oil and gas operator, owns a pipeline company and land cattle company among many other business enterprises.
