History - Clements Hall

Clements Hall is named after Rita Crocker Clements and was constructed in 1981. Ms. Clements was the wife of Texas former governor Bill Clements. She was a rancher's daughter who was extremely interested in attending Texas A&M University; however, in 1949, A&M didn't admit women. As Texas's First Lady, Ms. Clements remains a model of attainment for the young women that go through this university.
