1. How do I subscribe to local telephone service for my room?
Local telephone service is subscription based with non-refundable subscription periods based on the length of housing contract signed by the student.
Students subscribing to local telephone service for the first time must subscribe by completing an Application to Connect New Landline Telephone Service. Applications must be submitted online (see instructions on the application) to the Department of Residence Life, Office of Facilities & Operations.
Applications for telephone service for the fall semester of 2008 will not be accepted until after June 1, 2008.
If a student is living on campus and has already subscribed to local telephone service, at the end of the subscription period, the student will be sent an email (to the student’s TAMU email account) containing local telephone service renewal instructions. To renew the local telephone service, students should simply click on the link contained in the email, agree to the subscription terms again, agree to pay the subscription fee, and the local telephone service will continue working for one more subscription period.
