20. What is a space offer?

A permanent space offer of housing means the student is being offered a space in a regular residence hall room. A temporary housing space offer means the student is being offered a space in a study room, a lounge, or will be a third person in a regular two person room on a temporary basis. Rooms in Modular halls and the Commons halls are primarily used for temporary housing. As space becomes available through cancellations, temporary assignments will be relocated to permanent spaces. However, since cancellations cannot be predicted, the length of time the student will be in temporary housing cannot be determined.
