The Office of Residence Education oversees a variety of areas, including safety and security programming in the residence halls, ongoing assessment of the Residence Education program and critical incident follow-up with students. The overall mission of the office is to enhance the living environment of staff and students through education and development. To meet those goals, the office is responsible for staff selection and training (GHD and RA), continuing education, implementing the community development model, diversity education, residence hall presentations, advising student organizations (RHA, Staff Council , residence hall councils, Monterrey Tech), the RA Class and more. The Office of Residence Education also works closely with the Student Conflict Resolution Services in resolving cases of student misconduct in the residence halls. Additionally, the office serves as a contact point on issues regarding residence hall policy and procedure. The main office is located in 189 Cain Hall . There are also two satellite Area Offices that administer the residence halls in the north and south areas - the North Area Office and South Area Office.
